What the title yelled. A condensed version of our latest release, on a lime green cassette from Solid Merch. 50 copies, 30 of which will be available here. The rest can be found at our many shows in summer 2022.

Think of the things you can do: Pop it into your Walkman and go for a jog. Rewind it with a pencil. Crank up that sweet Alpine deck in Brad Smietana's Camaro, barrel down a back road, and let that puppy auto-flip to Side B, then back to Side A again. The Camaro was an '84. His key also started Steve Defries' '84 Camaro--and vice versa. I digress.

This was recorded by Dave Debany, Adam Anderson, Mike Gonzales, and David Deitch in our respective homes in 2020. Files were shared. Neighbors were slightly inconvenienced. Then Dereck Blackburn at Quiethouse Recording mixed and mastered it. Dave wrote the lyrics and did the artwork, more of which you can see at davemadeart.com.

    Thank you.

[Names have been altered, but the Camaros were real. So was the Alpine. It was so sweet.]

Netherland 03:14
I fill my head up with hypotheses Till the meaning is long gone I draw a line I’ll quickly fall over How my theories fall apart I’m sick and tired of my excuses I’m deeming them useless from now on That only holds up for so long The abuses linger on For how long? We blink and then we’re gone
2.
The bell will ring when the bell will ring I don’t have time to break Up into pieces and float away The sky will fall when the sky will fall I shouldn’t feel a thing It shouldn’t hurt at all The past could wait but the past won’t wait I’ve no space for doubt, so cut the poison out But the bell will ring when the bell will ring It shouldn’t hurt at all I shouldn’t feel a thing I will gulp life like air Precious air
3.
Take it out to see it from all angles Break it up to sense its finer particles When that’s all been done Putting it back’s no fun And I know this We atomize these things To see what they bring And this time It’s not the antidote to a restless mind Up at 3am to wrestle with the moon again Senses congregate And then go their separate ways We itemize these things To see what they bring And this time It’s not the antidote to a restless mind
4.
Circle around our homes Strange enough to chill our bones These vultures just can’t wait Go make their own new prey That’s Mother Nature’s way Vertically integrate Doesn’t your avarice weigh you down? Doesn’t your animus weigh you down? Even before decay Smell from a mile away Get to us before long We carry on, we carrion Mother’s turned to Drāno now, Volcano up and out But my irony, it weighs me down How can I keep from keeping myself down? On a moon-lit night— Well, not a moon but a harsh street light— Time both drags and flies Maybe now we’ll stop pretending Everything’s going to be all right Doesn’t your avarice weigh you down? Doesn’t your animus weigh you down?

Breathless 02:41
Who’d have thought that Your dumb prophet Would take it all, Apply a wrecking ball Shrug and smile and deny it? Please get out of my head You terrorize me in my sleep And on the outside you’re all I see Made them over Programmed soldiers To tow the line and Lave the rest of us behind To gasp for air in exile Please get out of my head You terrorize me in my sleep
6.
What if we should build a paradise But our hedges grow too high To see eye to eye? What if we should chart a better life But the angles we choose They’re off by about a degree That finds us plotted separately? There is no better place to be Perfect from now on There is no better part of me Perfect from now on
